Blog Interaction 2 - Preparation for Romans

As we prepare to enter into the study of Romans - what are your expectations, hopes and desires? Has the introductory material on Paul and his theology been useful? What has been most enlightening? What has not been beneficial? What do you hope to arrive at when we get to to the end of the semester for your persoanl spriritual life?

Please note that you must complete two entries for this blog (this is a mandatory blog). The first entry will be answering the above questions. The second entry will be responding to one other classmate.

You have until Friday, October 5 at midnight to complete this blog interaction.

Blog Activity 1

This is the first blog interaction activity of four that will be required for the post.  Please respond to the following question:

1.  In class today we discussed how Romans worshipped their gods.  Read the article about the worship of Roman Gods at the following site:  http://www.allabouthistory.org/roman-gods.htm

2.  Discuss parallels between the Roman worship of gods and the kinds of "gods" Americans worship today.  In what ways can the Christian message challenge and meet what pagans - whether Roman or American - are looking for?
